Pizza Quest

Carmel Games never failed to give us some entertaining point and click adventure game and they never failed in transforming a simple activity to a bigger adventure. In Pizza Quest, you will play the role of the palace’ newly assigned chef and your duty is to serve the queen. In your first day of work, the queen is seemingly craving for Pizza but you realized that you have no materials and ingredients to prepare one. Your job now is to find all the necessary ingredients and tools all over the palace in order make the pizza in no time. Who would have thought that preparing a pizza can end up in such a thrilling quest? If you have played the previous point and click adventure of Carmel Games, then you must know the drill and if not, then feel free to explore Pizza Quest and see what else this game has to offer.

The game will welcome you with a brief cinematic introduction telling a short story about the main character and how he ended up being the queen’s chef. Much like the rest of the point and click games, the only way to interact with the game is through mouse clicks. Simply hover the mouse over the objects to identify which is interactive and which is not. The cursor will change to a moving cog icon if the object is something you can collect or examine. In the entire course of the game, the player will be asked to collect various objects, gather clues and solve numerous puzzle along the way. See, who would have thought that gathering simple ingredients for pizza will end up in such a thrilling quest?

The puzzles are quite predictable and easy to solve though but despite of the game’s apparent simplicity, the player is still encouraged to observe very keenly and pay attention to every details to prevent overlooking the clues, otherwise, you might end up going to same places over and over again. But just in case you are having a hard time figuring out how to solve the puzzle, you can always check the hints for further assistance. Appearance wise, Pizza Quest is presented in a neat and visually stunning environment and is perfectly matched with cool and funny animation with amazing voice overs ( a feature used in most Carmel Games). This may not have a replay value (unless they will soon put timers on it and an interactive leaderboard) but the game is generally fun and entertaining to play with! Absolutely worth playing.

Deeeep.io

We have seen so much games from io and they never failed to amuse us with their games despite the fact that they all follow the same mechanics and gameplay. Deeeep.io will take us to another adventure. This time, as what the title of the game suggests, we will embark ourselves in a deep underwater journey where you play the role of a shifting animal. Much like most of the io games, your main objective here is to survive as long as you possibly can. You have to control your chosen animal and navigate through a wide stage and eat as many food as you can in order to gain a new level and evolve to a bigger form. This , however, will not be that easy as you are about to deal with an overwhelming amount of players on stage who can devour you in an instant! If you think you can survive this challenge, then feel free to play Deeeep.io and see how far you can go!

Generally, Deeeep.io is another survival of the fittest game. It follows the same mechanics with other well established games like slither.io, Agar.io and more but what really makes this game distinctive and unique above the rest? Appearance wise, the game is presented in a very simple atmosphere. It was not adorned with any visually stunning and intricately designed details yet still neat and colorful enough to be enjoyed. Despite of the game’s apparent simplicity, the gameplay is generally tricky and fun. You can move around the multidirectional stage by hovering the cursor of your mouse. Collect as many foods (colored circles) in order to gain level. The gauge meter is located below the screen to identify how much food you still need to intake before evolving to another character or animal. The interesting part of the game is the fact that each animal possesses different abilities. If you turned into an octopus for an instance, you will have the ability to poison every enemy that touches you.

Even though you got unique skills, you still have to be wary of the other enemies around you especially the large ones. Interestingly, there are special areas in this game that you can take advantage with. The sea weeds for an instance can be a hiding spot. Going under the sea weeds will put you in a stealth mode and enemies cannot harm or detect you while hiding. Eating foods will help you earn points but devouring other enemies will give you greater points and will speed up the process of evolving. Another great features of this game is the leaderboard system which displays all the top players. The game also has different servers to choose from. The score board and the game’s unpredictability provide the game an impressive replay value! Overall, Deeeep.io is another entertaining io game that you can confidently list on top of your list! Good luck and have fun!

Size Matters

Size indeed matters and this game will prove us so! Size Matters is a simple yet fun and surprisingly addictive physics based puzzle game that will surely put your skills and knowledge on a great test. As what the title of the game suggests, the puzzle is all about sizes and how you cleverly adjust based on the given stage. Your goal is to clear all the levels by guiding your character all the way to the exit. This might sound so easy but the game strongly encouraged the player to visualize the puzzle carefully and to establish the most effective strategy in order to maximize his chances in winning. Take note that it is not just about jumping from one platform to another so if you think you got the skills to master this tricky game, then feel free to play Size Matters and see how far your skills can take you.

It is very interesting to note that Size Matters is a game created as an entry for a previous Ludum Dare Challenge. This means that the game is created within the limited amount of time yet despite of that limited time frame, the game offers an impressive longevity and a decent amount of challenge that gamers will definitely enjoy. As soon as the game begins, you will be prompted immediately on the first stage. In order to change your size, you can use both WASD and Arrow keys. The keys will allow you to change the height, the length and the size of the avatar and you must cleverly figure out which size you should turn into not just in order to fit yourself in the exit but also to successfully overcome obstacles that you will encounter along the way.

The rate of difficulty will gradually increase as you progress. You will soon encounter Red walls and floors which indicate traps. You must refrain the avatar from touching them, otherwise, the game will come to a quick end and you have no other option but to start the same level back from the very beginning. Some levels especially the higher ones are truly challenging and require timing and proper strategy in order to make it through. Some are even seemingly inescapable. Appearance wise, Size Matters is only presented with simple graphics. You will be dealing with simple stage with no visually stunning details but despite of its apparent simplicity, the gameplay is absolutely entertaining and challenging enough to make this game enjoyable. Good luck and have fun!

As soon as the game begins, you will be prompted first in a brief tutorial and after doing so, you will be introduced to your first patient. Here’s how it works. The game screen will show your dying patient on the far left side with their heart on the other end connected via heartbeat line. Each patient will have their own rhythm for their heartbeat and your goal is to hit the spacebar in every seventh beat. The beat will vary in terms of their speed and you must be able to hit the spacebar on the right time (not too early and not too late) , otherwise, it will affect your patient’s life and you might receive an unsatisfying remarks in the end.

The rate of difficulty will increase as you progress. The game will become more and more challenging. You will soon encounter patients with heart that skips a beat which means you have to figure out the right time to hit the spacebar event without hearing a single beat. Once a level is cleared, you will be ranked from A to F (where A is the highest and F the lowest). Since this is a Demo version, kindly expect that you will only deal with limited levels but the game has so much potential and we just can’t wait to see more of its future developments. Overall, Rhythm Doctor is a simple game with a surprisingly tricky gameplay with decent amount of challenge and fun! Good luck!

Zombs.io

Embark yourself in another exciting adventure with Zombs.io. Being out in the woods has never been a good idea especially if there is no one to accompany you and this is what exactly you are about to experience in this crazy yet super thrilling multiplayer game. In Zombs.io, your job is nothing more but to survive the zombie outbreak and you can only do so by building the strongest defenses that can kill all the approaching enemies before they can steal all your gold stash and inflict great damage to your character. Much like the other io games that we used to play with, the game will take you to a simple yet neat battlefield presented in a top down perspective. If you think you have what it takes to survive this catastrophe, then feel free to take the journey and play Zombs.io to see how far your skills can take you.

As soon as the game begins, you will be asked to create your identity before putting you on the battlefield. Once done, you can now start building your defenses. Please be mindful that in order to build your defenses, you have to gather enough resources first including the Gold, Wood and Stone. This is a multi-directional game and you can freely move the character and navigate around the given stage using the WASD or the Arrow keys. Mouse clicks on the other hand are used to interact with the objects. The game field is usually composed of many different elements. Trees are the source of wood, boulders are where the stones are being taken while Gold Mines are for golds. If you have earned enough resources, you can now start building different items such as turrets and other mechanisms that will improve your production or strengthen your defenses.

When the night approaches, the waves of zombies will start attack. You can attack the zombies manually or better yet let your mechanisms do the job. The more you upgrade your weapons, the more chances of survival. The rate of difficulty will drastically increase as you progress. Zombies will become more powerful and it will take an effective strategy to kill them all. Please be mindful that this is also a multiplayer online game which means, you are not just dealing with computer generated zombies. You will also have to fight against other players. One of the most interesting highlights of this game is the interactive score board which displays all the top players. This particular feature gives Zombs.io an impressive replay value. The longer you survive, the higher your rank will become but if you got killed either by zombies or an online player, the score will go back to zero and you have no other option but to go back from the very beginning. The mechanics are indeed simple yet the player is strongly encouraged to establish the most effective strategy to maximize his winnings. Appearance wise, the game is not presented in a visually stunning interface and you might also find the details quite repetitive but gameplay is actually addictive enough that you will not even focus much on how simple the graphics are. Overall, this is a great game and absolutely worth playing with! Good luck!
